Or, play it on Podomatic here! Or stream it below!
Chad and Eric talk about the Giants’ second 8 game winning streak of the season, the incredible pitching they have been benefiting from, All-Star voting, Duffy’s injury, who’s hot, and Timmy’s great performance in his first start with the Angels. And, if you’re not a Warriors fan, don’t listen to the first part of the podcast as Chad laments on what could have been the completion to a historic season.
We had a power outage that prevented our last podcast, then acts of God that prevented our next scheduled podcast, but with the Giants entering Chavez Ravine, Chad decided it’s about time we talk Giants ball!
Oh, and THE WARRIORS ARE NBA CHAMPS! and stuff
Chad catches up with the Giants “meaty” season, their road domination and underwhelming home performance. There’s also catching up to do with Heston’s no-no, the Giants’ visit to the White House, the draft, McGehee coming back, Scutaro re-signing, Scandoval, MLB canceling 60 million votes, and what in the hell do the Giants do when Cain and Peavy come back?!
Oh, and the Giants beat LA tonight 9-5 and are 1 1/2 games back.
Chad and Ben sat down with Giants closer Sergio Romo at Media Day at AT&T Park before the start of spring training. We talk about his takeover of the Warriors’ Twitter account, what he would have like to have played professionally if it weren’t for baseball, and he hates that inherited runners that score count as an earned run.
Be sure to check out our other interviews with Matt Cain, Michael Morse, Javier Lopez and others!
Willie and Chad kept this podcast much shorter than usual, mostly because Willie wanted to throw himself out of his apartment window after that crushing, epic, utterly pathetic choke-job the Warriors pulled in San Antonio. They blow a 16 point lead with less than 4 minutes left!! Then leave Ginobli THAT WIDE OPEN for a 3 pointer with 3 seconds left in double OT!!!!??
But, we digress and get back to talking Giants baseball and their tonic that was a 6 game winning streak.
Giants have now swept every other team in the NL west, mental edge from here on out?
0.5 ahead of COL, 3rd best record in NL after tonight’s loss
After 32 games last year, they were 15-17 and 6 GB of LA
The Week in Review
Cain won his first start!
Panda caught fire, Scutero hitting again, Posey getting back to normal Posey
The Big Question
Vogelsong: 7.20 ERA after 6 starts. Can he work through this?
