If I’m not mistaken, Bruce Bochy and Brian Sabean have already given the nod to Brandon Belt at first base. Aubrey Huff will be playing left field while he is on the field which raises a number of different questions. How can we play all of Melky, Angel, and Schierholtz if the water buffalo is paroling left field? Brandon Belt will be playing first base on opening day unless he loses the job before then. Bochy and Sabean believe that since Belt is the younger and longer term player, he needs to be started at first base as opposed to Huff.
